About
Gear up for the next level of survival games, with EpochVR. A Multiplayer Hardcore Survival for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
Emergence and Immersion
Centered around emergent gameplay through it's physics and its mechanics, EpochVR brings you a living, post-apocalyptic world where the foundations of society have crumbled. Players survive in a thriving world of chaos, wars and trade through player driven actions and incentives. Each mechanic and item are designed to function like tools, that each have unique and interesting uses, strengths, and weaknesses to add astounding depth to gameplay while keeping the mechanics simple and physics-based.
With intuitive, physics based mechanics that are developed from the ground up for VR, Hardcore Survival has never been so immersive.
Raiding
Destroy your enemies’ bases and take their stuff with the vast array of tools that you have accumulated through exploration or stolen from a fallen enemy. Anything from explosives, to helicopters to a heap of books thrown at a window can be used to exploit a bases' weakness if used correctly. Just keep an eye for any triggers or wires that reveals the machines and traps the enemy has built to up to keep others out.
Combat
Hide from your enemy and plan your next move, as you try to think like them and emerge from battle with all the loot. Combat is centered around stealth, out thinking your enemy, using the environment against them, and exploiting weaknesses. Everything is physics based, and so anything can be used as a weapon. Anything from a gold bar smacked into an enemy’s head or pushing a couch off a ledge and onto enemies below could be all that stands between you and lots of loot. Duck behind cover as you plan your next move in a futile attempt to escape defeat, or will the camouflage you've crafted be enough to stay out of sight?
Survival
When society falls will you bunker down in the city with much more resources readily available, or will you not take the risk and head out into the wild to survive away from the epicenter of chaos. Will you fight everyone for the loot, or will you run into the wild to hunt game and survive off the land? Will you start a farming patch when you have a base to become self-sufficient, or sneak into an enemy compound to take their crop? The choice is up to you.
Building
Gather building materials and tools then setup a camp or patch up a destroyed building for shelter and storage, the choice is up to you where and how you build. As a result, each base has character, each with its own strengths and weaknesses that determine how an enemy can find, or get in. While plywood will make a huge wall, it won’t stop bullets like small brick wall segments will. Pallets can be used in walls to stop players from entering but can be seen and shot through with ease.
